KNEC COURSES

1) DIPLOMA IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION (2 YEARS)

Admission requirements

The students MUST meet any one of the following minimum qualifications;

• Be a P1 Certificate holder, or
• Have KNEC certificate in ECDE or
• Have a minimum of C Plain or its equivalent in KCSE

Registration fee KES 2,000

Tuition Fee KES 60,000 (Payable in 5 installments)

KNEC Exam Fee 12,000* (Registration done in March every year)


2) CERTIFICATE IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION (2 YEARS)

Admission requirements

The students MUST meet any one of the following minimum qualifications;

• Have KNEC Proficiency certificate in ECDE or
• Have a minimum of D+ Plus or its equivalent in KCSE

Registration fee KES 2,000

Tuition Fee KES 40,000 (Payable in 5 installments)

KNEC Exam Fee 8,200* (Registration done in March every year)


3) PROFICIENCY IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION (3 MONTHS)

Admission requirements

The teachers MUST meet the following minimum qualifications;

• Have a minimum of D- Minus or its equivalent in KCSE

Registration fee KES 2,000

Tuition Fee KES 15,000 (Payable in 3 installments)

KNEC Exam Fee 3,000* (Registration done in March every year)

Students taking KNEC proficiency are required to do their own registration before the end of April of every year.
ITPD does not register proficiency students for the KNEC exams.

• KNEC Exam registration fee = KES 3,000 (This fee may change)
• KCSE/KCPE certificate – 4 copies
• Passport photos – 4 copies
• National ID – 4 copies

* The KNEC exam Fee is subject to change by the Examination Council
