INCCODE was established in 2003 and changed its name to the current one in 2011.

Our Goal

Our goal is to have community initiatives that support the achievement of holistic development and full human potential. The implementation of our programs target children, youth and adult development through strategic objectives with specific emphasis on life skills, knowledge, attitudes and behaviour change, increasing awareness and action regarding human rights; creating opportunities for children, youth and adult participation in career, health development and community services.

Our Mission

INCCODE mission is to develop and empower community policy and practice focusing on children, youthful and adult citizens. We do this by promoting a wider dialogue among practitioners, policy-makers, researchers, and national and international agencies and institutions through the analysis, synthesis and dissemination of knowledge and coordinated advocacy.

Our Key Objectives

In order to achieve our overall goal the organization has the following specific objectives:
  • To effect and facilitate research and education necessary for fulfilling our overall goal;

  • To subscribe to, assist, subsidies and cooperate with any organization or institution whose objectives are in the whole or in part similar to those of INCCODE, and to subscribe to any funds, charitable or otherwise, which may be deemed likely to promote the interest of the organization;

  • To serve as an international point of contact and reference to regional offices and action groups in the communities and without prejudice to its autonomy and what it stands for, promote collaboration and coordination on matters relating to community development.

  • To raise, mobilize and disburse funds and other resources for the promotion of community development and empowerment through the organization

  • To train children, youthful and adult Kenyans in modern business/career/farming techniques and assist them to acquire managerial skills to help the community;

  • To establish or assist in the establishment of schools and other educational centers, and libraries, and to publish newsletters, brochures, periodicals, books and other publications as the Board of the Organization may deem desirable for the promotion of the Organization;

  • To employ teachers, advisors, experts and other staff for all or any of the objects of the Organization;

  • To acquire any moveable or immovable property and any buildings or things whatsoever and sell, dispose of Mortgage, lease or otherwise deal with all or any part of the property or rights of the Organization;

  • To enter into any arrangement with any governments or authorities that may seem conducive to the Organization’s objects or any of them, and to obtain from such government or authority any rights, privileges and concessions which the Organization may think desirable to obtain;

  • To take such steps by personal or written appeals, public meetings or otherwise as may from time to time be deemed expedient for the purpose of procuring contributions to the funds of the Organization in the form of donations, annual subscription or otherwise;

  • To apply to any governments or authority, public bodies, corporations, companies or persons for and to accept grants or gifts of money and of any moveable or immovable property, donations, gifts subscriptions and other assistance with a view to promoting the objects of the Organization and, in taking of any gift or property to take the same subject to any special trust which may be prescribed by the donor thereof;
