INCCODE had a project dubbed Child Literacy Project (CLiP) funded by Kenya Community Development Foundation (KCDF). The projects targeted children aged between 3-8 years. This was aimed at supporting one aspect of the country’s bid to ensure high quality Early Years Academic development and training of the Early Years teacher who wound subsequently reach thousands of children. A total 1800 children received reading program books, through guided instruction method implemented by the pre-school teachers and were able to Read with Comprehension, Fluency, accuracy and confidence.

The project targeted 60 pre-school and lower primary school teachers in Kajiado County in Kenya. The main goal of CLiP was to tackle the low literacy levels in a way that provides quality, affordable and accessible basic literacy skills among children aged between three and eight years in the school by equipping the teachers with both content, books and method.

April, 2019

INCCODE teachers training program presented the highest number of candidates for KNEC examinations since it started in 2013. A total of 76 candidates sat the Teacher Certificate and Diploma examinations with only one fail. This group also posted the best overall performance with more than two thirds of the candidates scoring credit. All the successful candidates are currently working in various schools in the country.

March, 2020

INCCODE embarked on development of high quality e-learning programs to support all the training courses during the tough period of COVID 19 outbreak. All the students are taking the classes online with the support of expert trainers and research project supervisors and examiners. This has enabled our training and learning programs reach more beneficiaries around the country. Teachers can now take CBC training and many other courses through our e-learning platform
